RTS AV recognises that both physical and mental health are essential to workplace safety. Therefore, we embed mental health and wellbeing into our daily operations and management systems.
We operate an Occupational Health and Safety Management System certified to ISO 45001:2018. This standard promotes a structured approach to managing health, safety and wellbeing. As a result, we actively support both physical and psychological health across the business.
RTS AV has 10 trained Mental Health First Aiders (MHFAiders). These team members complete training in line with MHFA England standards. This training equips them to recognise common mental health issues and respond appropriately.
For example, MHFAiders can identify early signs and symptoms, start supportive conversations and listen without judgement. In addition, they provide reassurance and practical support where needed. Where appropriate, they can also guide individuals towards professional help or internal support services.
MHFA England qualifications remain valid for three years. Therefore, MHFAiders must complete refresher training to maintain competence. RTS AV monitors certification status and supports ongoing training. This ensures knowledge remains current and effective.
This initiative supports key ISO 45001:2018 principles. These include risk assessment, worker participation, competence and awareness. In addition, it helps manage psychosocial risks such as work-related stress.
MHFAiders work alongside our wider health and safety processes. For instance, they support incident management procedures and wellbeing initiatives. As a result, we provide a consistent and structured approach to employee wellbeing.
At RTS AV, we apply over 30 years of industry knowledge and skills across all areas of the business. We support clients across public sector, corporate, financial, legal and film studio environments. This includes delivering safe, reliable and well-managed AV services in demanding settings.
By investing in mental health support, we strengthen our ability to deliver resilient services. Ultimately, this approach supports duty of care, safeguarding and continuity of service across all projects.
