Sucden Financial is a global commodities and financial services broker based in the City of London, operating across international markets. The trading floor is the operational heart of the business, with staff relying on live news and financial data throughout the working day.
The client needed to replace an ageing, unsupported IPTV system that could no longer deliver the channel line-up, display quality, or reliability theirtrading floor demanded. The reception area also lacked any branded or live content for visitors.
RTS upgraded the existing Vitec IPTV platform rather than replacing it with a competing system, preserving the client’s existing network infrastructure, IT team familiarity, and ceiling mounts to reduce cost and disruption. The channel line-up was expanded to 22 sources, including the addition of CNN International Europe via a dedicated HDMI encoder from a Sky receiver. All 10 displays were replaced with 50-inch Samsung commercial panels rated for 24/7 operation.
Reception was equipped with a digital signage layout combining live news, client branding, and a welcome message, all managed through the same Vitec interface. The entire installation was completed in a single weekend, with trading resuming as normal on Monday morning. Training was provided so the IT team could manage the system independently from day one.
The client subsequently commissioned RTS for ongoing IPTV support and a separate AV project, extending the relationship beyond the original scope.
