Post Office Horizon IT Inquiry

RTS was appointed as the AV partner for the Post Office Horizon IT Inquiry, delivering services across multiple hearing venues in London and throughout the UK. Hearings commenced with impact sessions in a temporary London venue, followed by regional hearings in Belfast, Cardiff, Glasgow and Leeds.

Solution

RTS conducted detailed pre-event site visits to each regional venue to assess suitability and ensure a consistent, high-quality AV experience. RTS also supported a series of virtual focus group sessions, providing both equipment and technical expertise.

Delivery

In May 2023, the Inquiry moved to a permanent hearing centre in London. RTS advised on the design and configuration of the hearing room and implemented a fully integrated AV solution. A dedicated team of technicians delivered on-site operational support, alongside evidence presentation and real-time transcription services.

RTS enabled remote participation for witnesses via secure video platforms and facilitated remote participation by the Chair when required. Live video feeds were delivered to the Inquiry’s YouTube channel and major news broadcasters, ensuring broad accessibility.

Outcome

RTS delivered a consistent, high-quality AV service across multiple locations and formats, supporting the smooth running of hearings and enabling national media coverage during periods of significant public interest.
